Discover the best of Peruvian local cuisine and immerse yourself into Peruvian lifestyle and culture.
Did you know that Peru possesses 28 out of 32 the climates in the world? This accounts for Peru´s diversity in culinary styles. 14,000 years of Pre-Incan and Incan cuisine, combined with our Spanish heritage along with the contribution of African, Chinese, Japanese infusions have resulted in Peru being recognized as having one of the foremost cuisines in the world.
Our gastronomical tour will provide you with a greater understanding, appreciation and connection to one of twelve most recognized cuisines in the world and of the city of Lima, declared the Gastronomic Capital of the Americas.

Objectives:

+ Experience different flavors of Peru's regional cuisine, from the coast, highlands and jungle and great restaurants.
+ Introduction to the history, principles and preparation of Peruvian cuisine.
+ Introduction to diverse Peruvian native ingredients.
+ Learn to prepare different Peruvian dishes

Itinerary:
Day 01: Peruvian Creole Food
Introduction to Peruvian Cuisine
Lunch at a Creole Peruvian Cuisine Restaurant. Visit to one of the most famous Peruvian buffets in the city and try dishes from the coast, highlands and jungle of Peru.
Day 02: Ceviche and Peruvian seafood
Try the traditional ceviche, its different versions and other exquisite seafood at one of the best cebicherías in Lima.
Day 03: Cuisine of the Andes
Excursion to Pre Inca ruins in Pachacamac. We will then head to a beautiful countryside restaurant to try pachamanca, a dish made from a variety of meats (including pork and beef), herbs and a variety of vegetables that are slowly cooked underground on a bed of heated stones.
Day 04: Field visit to a local market and dine overlooking a 2,000-year-old adobe pyramid
In the morning we will visit a traditional local market, learn how to prepare ceviche and then taste delicious native fruits, medicinal plants of the Amazon, and become familiar with Peruvian medicinal and cooking products.

Dinner: Enjoy a superb dinner within the archaeological compound of a 2,000 year old adobe pyramid built by the early inhabitants of Lima. Located in an unparalleled and unique location, this reinterpretation of Peruvian cuisine combines local flavors and ingredients with contemporary techniques.
