Lima’s climate is defined as subtropical and desert, and is usually quite mild, although humid. Summer is from December until March, with average temperatures of 79°F (26°C) during the day and 68°F (20°C) at night. Winter is from June to October and can be cold and damp, with low temperatures around 50°F (12°C) and little to no rain. Lima is made up of micro-climates, meaning that different parts of the city have different weather, and even in the winter you can always find the sun.
