Visas:	Citizens from most countries in the Americas and Western Europe do not need a visa. Citizens from Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Brasil and Chile do not need a passport or visa to enter to certain regions of Peru. In these cases, the authorized term is 90 days (extendable by the migratory authority).
Electrical Energy:	220 volts and 60 hertz (except in Arequipa where the current is 50 hertz ). Most five and four star hotels provide 110 volts oulets.
Vaccines:	It is recommended to be vaccinated against yellow fever 10 days before traveling to the jungle.
Exchange rate:	3.2 soles = 1 US$ * The US Dollar is accepted in most stores, restaurants and gas stations at the local exchange rate.  Most stores accept well-known credit cards: Visa, Master Card, Diners and American Express. Traveler’s checks are limited; you should ask in advance if they are accepted.
