Volunteering and Internships Abroad

Interested in volunteering or interning abroad?

Hispana offers a variety of international volunteer programs and internships for high school students, gap year volunteers, university students, recent graduates, career break volunteers, older volunteers, group trips in the cities of Lima and Cusco.

• Volunteer Abroad in areas of healthcare, teaching, conservation and environment, sports, agriculture and farming, creative and performing arts, archaeology, marketing and tourism.  A minimum of four weeks is required.
  Types of volunteer placements: Participants in the volunteer program may choose the field and preferred location of their volunteer placement. The volunteer activities will vary from teaching English, helping the children with their homework, playing, reading stories, preparing meals, organizing sports, cleaning, shopping, painting.
• Intern Abroad in areas of medicine, healthcare, microfinance, marketing, tourism, women’s empowerment, youth and education, women's empowerment, community development, among others. A minimum of sixteen weeks is required.
  Types of internships placements: We offer internship opportunities in different fields such as Education, Arts and Handicrafts, sports, tourism, gastronomy, medical fields, social work.  If you are interested in a specific internship that is not listed here we will be able to arrange and internship that fits your needs. 

We offer:

• The full organization of your volunteer or internship experience by our expert local coordinators, including a supervisor at your placement and worthwhile work to do.
• Flexible start dates so you can join an international volunteer project in summer or winter vacation periods.
• Accommodation with local families, student’s residence of apartment.
• Advice and training on required Spanish language skills.
• Spanish Course: a four-week group course is included in all the Volunteer or Internship packages.
